I still don't "get" the steering wheel stripe. Are you that bad at centering your steering wheel you need another visual indication?

Its “motorsport”. But yes it does allow you to visually align your steering wheel. In my case it’s
there and I have to deal with it.
I love alcantara wheels, but I could do without the stripe if was an option to omit.

At speed in the “moment”, it really does help knowing exactly where the center of you steering wheel is, especially as you are concentrating on other things the mark gives you quick information at your peripheral vision.

Very helpful when on track at speed as you are looking up and out and the visual indicator is easy to spot

Yep, it would be best used at a skid pad or a drift event, but there are definitely some tight corners on road courses I have been on where you can catch the stripe in your peripheral vision.

Another thing it helps spot easy is suspension damage. I have seen video where someone hits curbing or an obstacle hard and the stripe is at 9 o’clock while the driver is going straight.

I think it would also help diagnose the suspension after going over hard curbs...are the wheels still tracking straight?
I also think that more stripes of different colors should be put at regular intervals around the wheel, so what do I know

I beat you by 5 minutes, basically what I am saying.
Even if 12 o’clock becomes 11 o’clock, that slight difference becomes a problem.
Regarding your multiple stripes, I have seen cars with two stripes. One at 11 and 1, I think it is more for a different look except oval track cars who have a stripe for straightaways and a stripe for the turn.
Another multiple stripe is when doing reci runs for rallys. You put more than 10 stripes on a random cars steering wheel and do a recognisance run of a course with each stripe marking the difficulty of a corner to be able to call out the difficulty during the real race.
